Zinc for sale!

The perception of value in pricing

According to the London Metal Exchange, on the day this video was recorded, the market price for a metric ton of zinc was $2,840.

Would you, personally, pay $2,840 for a metric ton of zinc?

Likely not. But, that doesn’t mean you’re wrong about what zinc is worth to you or that the market price is wrong for those in the market.

Value is subjective and contextual. This is true with a physical commodity like zinc, so just imagine how much more true it is for something intangible, like your services.

When you price something, do everything you can to understand what customers care about and the value they place on the benefits.
